We replaced our older under-powered HVAC a few years back with a new 5-stage Carrier heat pump system through Bryd. We are so happy, both with the unit and the company. The folks at Bryd are competent, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and very friendly.The new system was a good price, and the intelligent thermostat really does make it perform at the optimum level. If you get a new Carrier heat pump, spend the extra for the smart thermostat, you'll get the best performance.The service people have been top notch, and very experienced. They've always responded quickly and helpfully any time we've had questions.We really lucked out with finding the best system and the best company.

Called to try and check if my system was under warranty before having them come out for service. As I was explaining what was going on I was told to have a nice day and hung up on. Guess the thought of fixing work under warranty is not something people do any more - system is 4 years old and falling apart

My wife noticed the A/C wasn’t cooling. I called Byrd during after hours and they recommended for me to wait for the following day unless I wanted to pay the after hour fees. I waited to the next day. The tech arrived on time, diagnosed my problem, and I got a call a few minutes after the left from Byrd trying to schedule my repair the following morning. That following morning the tech showed up on time, took about 4 hours to fix and my a/c is back up and running for hundreds less than other companies charge for the same work.Thank you Byrd for your punctuality, professionalism, and for not ripping me off as others would have.

My air conditioner had been out of commission for almost two weeks, and the owner came to assess the problem. Two other businesses dropped the ball--one said the compressor (very $$$) was not working, and the other took three days just to send an estimate. Both of those other companies said parts needed to be ordered and would take days to arrive. Imagine my skepticism when I was told the unit could be fixed the next day for well under $1000, and the compressor did not need to be replaced. But it's true! He had the part in stock, and his crew arrived the next morning, as scheduled. Many thanks for prompt, professional service!

Matthew and his installers were great to deal with. They came out on January 2 ( one of the coldest days so far) to replace my heat pump and air handler that Irma damaged and I'm glad they did cause the next day we had a ice and snow storm Tybee hadn't seen in a long time and the infinity 18 performed flawlessly. Matthew sent all his installers to knock it out. They were very polite and professional. The had Boot covers and drop cloths when they came to the door. They were happy to answer any questions that I had. I couldn't have asked for a better installation. Thanks again

Storm in Savannah evening 8/8, knocked out the AC. I called several places, which either were overpriced or unable to schedule anyone until 8/11. Byrd had someone out to my house within hours, and thankfully it was an easy fix. They'll be my first call next time.

I am highly disappointed by the service provided by Alfonso Byrd, a technician appointed by Select Home Warranty for our AC repair. Despite paying him $710 cash upfront for a leak kit and freon, the issue was not resolved. He did not even wait to ensure the system was functioning properly post-repair. The AC merely cooled the upstairs hallway while making the rest of the rooms unbearably hot.Adding to our woes, our master bedroom started leaking from the attic, a problem that was non-existent before. When we approached him with the issue, he blamed it on wrongly installed air ducts, a claim that doesn't hold water as our system had been working fine prior to the current problem .Despite promising to rectify the issues on multiple occasions, he failed to turn up even after persistent calls from my husband. A full week and numerous follow-ups later, the problem remains unattended, leaving us in a hot and uncomfortable living situation. His lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction are highly disappointing.I urge potential customers to think twice before employing his services. His lack of commitment and professionalism have left us feeling deceived and frustrated.

From calling to make an appointment for an annual HVAC preventative maint. Plan to the appointment & outside HVAC capacitor replacement; super polite & professional. Josh the technician was on time, polite, easily relatable and professional. He was able to convey what he was doing in easily relatable terms. He answered all of my questions without hesitation. I felt completely in capable and honest hands. Most everything turned out fine but we needed to replace an outside capacitor. A small fix. Josh came back the next day/ Saturday, as promised and took care of us. The price is right for quality and timely work completed. I will continue to use Byrd for any HVAC needs!!

Called Byrd for a service call/second opinion for work on our HVAC system. Technician was on time, knowledgeable and helpful with our quote and work for our system. Decided to schedule work on our system due to honesty and dependability with company. Would recommend this company. It did take 10 days for the itemized bill and 3 calls to receive it, but this issue was resolved quickly also. Byrd technician gave us a quote for 15 to 16 thousand dollars cause they said our Air Handler was bad. So we called the original install company Savannah Air Factory on a Sun. ( after hours) and they determined it was the Compressor start up Capacitor and a couple wires had to be changed back to the right terminals on the upstairs Air Handler. I would hate to think the Byrd service man would overlook the Capacitor and/or change wires upstairs on the air handler, but we choose the 450.00 fix even after hours on a weekend and it is working perfectly.The young man James from Savannah Air Factory was nice and knowledgeable. Always get 2 opinions, it can save you a lot of money.

As someone who works in the trade industry myself I’ve ran into difficult customers on occasion. As a customer I’ve never came across someone who was rude or condescending that was performing work at my residence. Now I can say I have.I’ve had Byrd out numerous times this year and spent a good deal of money. I’ve had excellent customer service from every tech who has been out, hence a 5 star review that has now been edited to 2.I was told that there was nothing he can do and we have to deal with our AC not getting below 73. That’s fair, but I will get a second opinion just to be sure.The problem is he told my wife that mid 70s indoor temps is perfectly fine for our 1and 4 year olds that sleep upstairs (sudden infant death syndrome can be related to temps over 72!). I got home and went outside to greet him. Asked if he’s been upstairs in the attic to check that unit. His response was: If I know better than him he can take me up there and I can show him where the problem is. I should have kicked him of my property at that point. I don’t want or need to argue with someone that I’m paying to be there. I just treated him like I would a difficult client and killed him with kindness.Other techs such as James and previous employees were great and deserve 5 stars. The gentlemen who was last at my property deserves one star and is not welcome back. I will be calling to request that next time (if there is) to send someone else. It takes months to find a customer and seconds to lose one!Update:Decided to give your company one more shot. After spending thousands with your company over the last 2 years you were not willing to waive a diagnostic fee despite misdiagnosing my AC on previous visits. Be warned, they are in it for your short term business.
