Byrd replaced a fan motor at one of our rentals. They had a hard time getting it out because it was rusted on. They can back a few days later with the correct parts and fixed it. I also got a new construction bid from them and I am gonna use them on that. I contacted numerous companies for prices, but since I am not a fancy contractor they blew me off. Byrd gave me a price in less than a week. I appreciate the fact that they treat everyone the same. You never know who your next big customer might be. I am not a contractor, but do several new construction projects a year. I hate these companies that don’t take you seriously because you are just a regular person. A good company never turns away paying customers.

What a wonderful experience. There was an answering service who told me my phone call would be returned inthe order it was received. And it was! Bobby called back on a Saturday night! He showed up, as promised on Sunday morning at the exact time he said he would for the emergency service. He was cheerful and professional. He fixed our problem and my a/c was back on within a half hour of his arrival. I am so pleased with the entire experience.

I’ve always had nothing but great service from Byrd. I had a routine service call this morning and Allen showed up right on time. I had a one hour service window and he conveniently arrived within the first half of that window. He was very polite and thorough- even my dog loved him! The price on the annual service plan is a deal, too!

Storm in Savannah, knocked out the AC. I called several places, which either were overpriced or unable to schedule anyone until 8/11. Byrd had someone out to my house within hours, and thankfully it was an easy fix. They'll be my first call next time.

I wholeheartedly recommend Byrd HVAC to anyone who is in need of service or is considering a new HVAC system. Their technicians are knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. They keep records on systems they sell and service and bring common replacement parts with them. The dispatcher was audio knowledgeable and worked with our schedule. Don and the rest of the team are trustworthy, professional, and committed to every unit installed and every repair they do.

Called Thompson and Thompson and they could not come out til tomorrow and wanted to charge 278.00 to schedule appt. Got in touch with Byrd and the tech was here within the hour and repaired the unit and the cost was less.Great work, when it was hot and needed air.

Came out to diagnose an issue with my HVAC system. Even though they didn't have the ability to service the unit in any timely manner. So they decided not to charge me but gave me no report. Would've been better business just to tell clients you are booked out and not waste anyone's time. Had to reschedule a separate inspection. Quotes on full replacement were also higher than any other local Hvac company.

The cost for repair was unbelievable for the problem and time spent fixing it I also can’t believe the service call does not apply or go toward service if any is necessary. The technicians both who were prompt and efficient were in my home less than 30 minutes TOTAL. The reversing valve was the problem They do not keep one on the truck or in their business so he said the office would have to call around but that they should let me know something before the end of the day NOPE never heard from anyone and of course that was a Friday. On Monday I called as soon as they open 8:00am and got the answering service She said they would call as soon as they got in NOPE At 8:31 I called back and got a lady who clearly did not want to be bothered. She said we are calling around trying to locate the part now. I said I expected to know something Friday and you are just now calling trying to find the part…. Long story short they could not come until the next day and only in the afternoon even when I explained my work schedule She said morning appts are booked 6 months in advance so the next Nice and efficient tech came and it literally took him less than 10 min to unscrew, lift grill, replace part, return his ladder to his truck and get the paperwork and walk in my house and the cost was $249 It would have been more but the unit is under warranty Total cost with service call added $369.00 (and the part was covered under warranty) I called to ask about charges and the office lady informed me that it did not matter if he was in my home 5 min or 5 hours that would be the cost. Makes no sense to me so I would clearly use a different company next time because of the costs and just overall attitude every time I had to talk to someone on the phone.

I’ve had Byrd out numerous times this year and spent a good deal of money. I’ve had excellent customer service from every tech who has been out, hence a 5 star review that has now been edited to 2.I was told that there was nothing he can do and we have to deal with our AC not getting below 76 That’s fair, but I will get a second opinion just to be sure.The problem is he told my wife that high 70s indoor temps is perfectly fine for our 1and 4 year olds that sleep upstairs (sudden infant death syndrome can be related to temps over 72!). I got home and went outside to greet him. Asked if he’s been upstairs in the attic to check that unit. His response was: If I know better than him he can take me up there and I can show him where the problem is. I should have kicked him of my property at that point. I don’t want or need to argue with someone that I’m paying to be there.Other techs such as James and previous employees were great and deserve 5 stars. The gentlemen who was last at my property deserves one star.Update:Decided to give your company one more shot. After spending thousands with your company over the last 2 years you were not willing to waive a diagnostic fee despite misdiagnosing my AC on previous visits. Be warned, they are in it for your short term business.

We were freezing and now we are nice and toasty since Byrd installed our new Carrier Heat Pump! Brinson arrived the next day after I called. When I called, Katy was nice and professional on the phone. Soon after Brinson examined my Heat Pump he gave me a quote. I had 2 other quotes and he beat both of them and worked with me on no-interest financing. Howard, Hugo, Joe & Adrian installed our unit. They were professional and careful with our house. Also, they helped my husband raise our outside unit stand 2.5 feet so we would be in Code. Thanks to Byrd Heating & Air, we slept comfortably when the outside temperature was 26 degrees here on Tybee Island! I have already referred them to two friends, and will use them for future maintenance.

We replaced our older under-powered HVAC a few years back with a new 5-stage Carrier heat pump system through Bryd. We are so happy, both with the unit and the company. The folks at Bryd are competent, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and very friendly.The new system was a good price, and the intelligent thermostat really does make it perform at the optimum level. If you get a new Carrier heat pump, spend the extra for the smart thermostat, you'll get the best performance.The service people have been top notch, and very experienced. They've always responded quickly and helpfully any time we've had questions.We really lucked out with finding the best system and the best company.

Called to try and check if my system was under warranty before having them come out for service. As I was explaining what was going on I was told to have a nice day and hung up on. Guess the thought of fixing work under warranty is not something people do any more - system is 4 years old and falling apart

My wife noticed the A/C wasn’t cooling. I called Byrd during after hours and they recommended for me to wait for the following day unless I wanted to pay the after hour fees. I waited to the next day. The tech arrived on time, diagnosed my problem, and I got a call a few minutes after the left from Byrd trying to schedule my repair the following morning. That following morning the tech showed up on time, took about 4 hours to fix and my a/c is back up and running for hundreds less than other companies charge for the same work.Thank you Byrd for your punctuality, professionalism, and for not ripping me off as others would have.

My air conditioner had been out of commission for almost two weeks, and the owner came to assess the problem. Two other businesses dropped the ball--one said the compressor (very $$$) was not working, and the other took three days just to send an estimate. Both of those other companies said parts needed to be ordered and would take days to arrive. Imagine my skepticism when I was told the unit could be fixed the next day for well under $1000, and the compressor did not need to be replaced. But it's true! He had the part in stock, and his crew arrived the next morning, as scheduled. Many thanks for prompt, professional service!
